New Hard Disk

Why did I buy a Lacie that costs a $100 more than a Western Digital? I guess it has to look part of the studio but more imptly I know it's the best possible hard disk for me. (It matches my tv, and keyboard :)) refuse to settle anything less than the best looking.

Tik Tok Attempt.

I finally understood why my sound is and has been putting me off. 

There is in actual fact more to sound then just hitting the right notes and getting the right sound.
There is engineering involve to make sure your individual beats stand out.
There is mastering involved, effects to be added etc. 
Thats why producers have jobs ! 

Unfortunately for me I have not learnt how to fatten up my sound but this is something I came out with and like the other tracks I did before, its just layered without mastering etc. Till i get the knowledge :)

I was clearing out my shoe cabinet in hope I could make more space for more shoes, sure enough I cleared out all the shoes I have not been wearing such as some vans chukkas, Maharishi moccasins, super old sbtg Nike sb,some old running shows, some old converse, and still I have not enough space to keep them all but at least some respect now whew.

Like how I removed all the songs that I do not listen to in my iPod, I did the same thing for my shoes and each pair that remains in my wardrobe holds something really dear to me. It's like every pair somehow tells a story so here goes :)

Logic : Abelton

Got hold of Derrick aka DJ motif to head over to my crib for some quick lessonsn how to do a midi map for keyboards, apparently the way to do it through logic is not as simple as right clicking and assigning your controls however Derrick did pointed me to a direction and I did learn quite a bit from him in such a short period of time!

I never knew what the hell "bus" meant etc and the various instruments an funky names like "ES1", "ES24" , terms like "EVOC" er I don't even know if I remember right but having a tutor to guide sure helps a lot!

Sound mehanics man !! Next time I should hear out for the reverbs and compressions used in songs!!

Touched

So a couple of post ago, I have taken a photo of a Dessert Boot which I fell in love with indefinitely. On the other side of the spectrum, there is this keyboard I've been wanting to get. Truth is I do not NEED it as I have a Keyboard to use. Only problem is that keyboard seriously is not contributing at all the my rooms aesthetic. ( Yes I am that anal when it comes to music stuff ) Somehow I've posted that thought on my facebook as i need help deciding which one to invest in and the results was totally touching. I'm value all opinions and I've already invested quite abit of my savings on music already.. might as well go all out!  I've posted the pictures of the boots and the keyboard and my facebook comments above! 

I'll need your support in this! :)
